Class adoptions
In low-income schools with large percentages of English Learners, many parents do not have the capacity to support their child’s teacher by volunteering in the classroom. RPM steps into this gap by connecting community groups with teachers needing support. Each teacher has different needs, but volunteers have helped with class activities (math, reading and writing), class projects (cooking, gardening, art, etc.), class parties (scheduled around holidays) and class field trips (set-up or being chaperones). Volunteers have also helped behind the scenes with copying materials and helping teachers set-up their classrooms.
If you and your community group would like to be connected with a low income school in Santa Clara County, please CONTACT US and indicate the name of your community group and what city and/or school you would like to serve. Thank you for your interest!
