school adoptions

Our California schools are experiencing budget cuts amidst growing populations of  low income and English language learners (students with little or no understanding of the English language).  Increasing numbers of children are reaching middle school without comprehending what they read,  resulting in more youth dropping out of school before high school graduation.

Our aim is to increase the hope and opportunity of children in our community facing economic, cultural, and other challenges by showing them unconditional love and supporting their success in school.  As community members invest in kids, it will transform our community in the process.

Believing our greatest future investment is helping children and youth reach their highest potential today, RPM connects community groups with under-resourced schools.  There are a number of ways your group can adopt a low-income school and make a difference in a child’s future.  Click on three of our options below for more information.

Castro Elementary is one of our pilot schools where we have responded to teachers, parents and school administration needs with innovative programs and projects.  Local community groups are currently participating in classroom adoptions, literacy projects and a variety of simple ways that are helping neighborhood kids and families thrive.
